Hello again! I’m returning to the states tomorrow through Sept 8, officially (possibly longer, we’ll see, or I’ll return in Oct/Nov.) to shoot this couple’s wonderful wedding! If you’re on the west coast (Seattle down to Cali), I’ll be available for a month for photoshoots & mentoring. Just shoot me an email.
To make a long story short, while my boyfriend’s mother was in hospice care, I spent some time painting .. these were inspired by her love for life–her energy–the energy that engulfs what we see all around us: objects, nature, and people. If it’s photography you’re interested in, check out the VagabondBond as I just made a few Norway-related posts. Like I mentioned before, I won’t be posting much here for a little while (couple of months?) because I’m going through a re-brand and restructure of my photography and blog design business…but stay tuned for an exciting update!

these are nice… feel better soon! i'm not feeling so hot myself, but its just a nasty cold, not the flu.
These are great! I especially love the first one. Great colors and composition!
Here is my 'love note' to you: I hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick and even worse if it is day three of being sick. There is only so much resting my brain will let me do. The last time I had the flu I got so bored I started mixing my own medication remedies (e.i.- 1/2 Theraflu Warming Liquid and 1/2 Tylenol Flu Liquid Cool Burst = Icy Hot for the Mouth)… I know I am that weird… to consider myself a mixologist to the ill!
nice!!! what a great mixer :) thank you…i'll have to try that craziness!
Darling girl, feel better soon!!! Sending hugs your way!
thanks! you too–apparently. i'm not sure a nasty cold isn't just as bad or worse than the flu. both are terrorizing and inconvenient! forces me to slow down, even though i really can't be slowing down these days. oh well….i've definitely had some special moments and one-on-one conversations with good friends in my life that i wouldn't have-had i not been ill, stuck on the couch with my phone. so, all in all: blessing in disguise. hope you get better very soon!
thank you very much! grazie!
you are too dang sweet, tout suite! thank you!!! i could use them.
these are all awesome. there's something about that second one, though… true beauty. made by nature. *stamp*. i also heard a mix of cyanide and phosphorous supposedly kills a flu :D
This is why I love photography.
So glad you posted these – they look fabulous! Extra love the 1st and 3rd. Can't wait to take more and can't wait to see your beautiful face – one week!! Woot :-) Feel better love!
hey kristy! i think i found you through annie p? through someone anyway. i hope you post photos more regularly (i don't know how busy you are – this is a purely selfish request!). seeing your pictures in a sea of words in my feed reader is great! thanks for doing what you love!
:)
to be honest with you, new andy, i've not been too busy to step outside (or maybe inside?) and wander. explore (with or without a map). seek. coax some little treasure to stand out amongst other subject matters of interest to me and my destinationless camera. instead, my days of late have been filled with less fulfilling adventures and to-do's.
as writing is to you, wandering with my camera is, to me. thank you for finding me and saying hello. i woke up around 5 a.m. unable to sleep, finding myself wandering the catacomb posts of your blog. you are an amazing writer: you have been added my inspire list above.
[oh, and long live annie p.
of course]
i can't believe it's that time again! :) woot, certainly! guess what? you're missing sean's concert by, lesse, ONE day. fiction fam is playing on THURS, and you'll be here friday. don't you find that a little funny? (not that i'm going or anything…but maybe if you were here).
i just realized you are THE DREW. :) oh my heavens. i'm so excited.
No way! Dang it!!! I would've loved to go – the new cd sounds awesome!! So sad…is it in San Fran again?
i hope you are feeling better love. :)
first one just makes me happy. the kind of happy that makes your heart fly away.
awesome stuff, these types of images keep me inspired. thanks for sharing and feel better soon!
uuuummmm…..that first shot is PERFECT. seriously. no…i mean it. it's effing perfect. i love every, single, thing, about, it. i want it. no, i want to make love to it, that's how much i love it. ok, ok…i'm a gentleman, i'll slow down. i want to marry it, THEN make love to it. yeah, i love it.
no joke, i was driving home today thinking about you, only to find you posted 2 COMMENTS :) oh, how i am so very grateful. …and you can have this picture. you can have it. come and get it! ;)
These are really freaking gorgeous – I love the Boardwalk, and I love the way you see!!
I absolutely LOVE that first one. it makes me happy!
I love love love love the first one. I want it to hang on a wall somewhere in a gigantic format. It's happy and melancholy all wrapped up together. I actually saw this images a couple of weeks ago when you sent me a note and I've had it on my mind. I had to come back and look for it again. I love it even more the second time.
i'm so glad it inspires you! i've given serious thought to opening an etsy store this year and selling these art images as prints and photo-products. they sit here, alone on my blog and sometimes it makes me sad that this might be the only place they're ever experienced!
sheesh.
I just love you and your work so much.
wow, so pretty – i LOVE the letterboxes..coolest ever :)
love love love the mailboxes !!!
these are gorgeous. that first one would be a super rad HUGE canvas.
its okay. ;-)
bwahaha! i love it. (by IT, i mean YOU)
i really shot these with intentions that they'd go in the march collection. i was wrong. they were outcasts. pretty, nonetheless.
Sometimes the outcasts are the perfect ones. The top one is a personal fav…I can see it on my wall right now! So when and where can I get it :)
these and you are stunning. much love friend.
So lovely and vibrant. Is there anything you can't do??
aww. i love all of dems!! and thanks again for the hard copies :)
my sweet sweet mom…
I love these. They all remind me of vegetables. Seriously, cabbages, corn silk and a tomato.
