I was born in a valley in Southern Oregon and became instantly dependent on the infinite surrounding mountains as a source of inspiration. I am a photographer based in the heart of Oregon -- Bend, Oregon.
I photograph weddings and portrait sessions all over the world. Though, I frequently visit and photograph in the Pacific Northwest, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego & Santa Barbara Counties, Northern Arizona, and Colorado. I have the heart of a vagabond and the wildest, vivid imagination. If you trust me with creating your images, you won't regret it.
We'll make magic. I promise.
For my birthday last year, my friend gave me a very special gift -- a psychological / astrological teaching. My teacher told me that I need to climb high in order to feel balanced. It's important to set a goal in a high place and move toward it. The walking path facilitates my ultimate existence. It evicts all anxiety and self-doubt taking shelter in the body. It offers a new detached -- no, independent -- perspective. Got it, sage. Thanks!
Then, this summer, I decided to half-ass school, intentionally. I was burned out and needed a break. None of my summer classes were #premed, so I took them pass/fail. I worked just as hard as I normally would and it took more effort to do something half-ass than merely be me. And do me.
I got high As in all my classes, essentially, for nothing. I shot myself in the foot. What a true idiot. So, last week I was reminded of my birthday gift. Setting goals in high places and working toward them is my purest method of existing. Instead of allowing anxiety and doubt to rule my behavior (or lack thereof), I move. I move my body, my mind. I go forward. I go up. I move. I do me. And whatever happens happens.
You can't half-ass being you.
Slow down. Focus. Appreciate. #summerbreak (2 weeks of no📚📆📉📊📝😩😱😵😴 allowed).
We retreat to opposing stands and love lives on without us.
