This family is precious to me. These are the children of Dawn & Thom in my post earlier this week. So much goodness. What a beautiful day in Orange County at the end of November! I’ll be back soon. This family is a delight. Dawn makes a cameo in this post and so does their [...]
I had the privilege of not only photographing these two love birds when I was in Orange County this month, but I also spent a considerable couple of days in their home and in their daily lives. And I’m so blessed by witnessing the love & respect they have for each other and the unconditional [...]
Lindsey & Ryan were married in late September and they enjoyed an incredibly adventurous honeymoon touring Colorado. Instead of photographing traditional engagement photos, I met them a week after their gorgeous wedding to photograph them together as newlyweds. Theirs was my third portrait session in a row photographing couples in the early morning; the dawn [...]
On my journey to Colorado from Oregon, I stopped along the way and did a little camping. Never really knowing exactly what I’m getting into (especially in regard to campgrounds — not knowing where exactly I’ll stop along the way), I was hoping there’d be a space available at the Three Island Crossing Campground. I [...]
I’m getting into my car tomorrow morning to gently head east this week from Oregon to Colorado — stopping or camping in five states along the way within three days. I’m honored to and inspired by the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Steamboat Springs for a lovely, sweet couple — and the blessing of [...]
Green represents envy. Oregon is green. Oregon will never grow out of trees. Therefore, one should be extremely envious of it, right? I am! I’ve enjoyed my first twelve hours here (even if my luggage was a day late in arrival). It’s beautiful here. It feels humid compared to Arizona, which is odd–humid is never [...]
I’m headed to Oregon for at least a month starting this weekend! I’ll be in southern, eastern, and northern Oregon during that time. I’m incredibly excited to be in my home state again after a six month stretch of being away. As much as I’m carried away by the breeze on a whim, headed Any, [...]
This would be my third trip to the Grand Canyon (can you blame me? It’s only an hour from where I live), but my first time with Adam. He took me to a place I’ve never been: the Bright Angel Trail where I proceeded to do a little hiking in my recently-thrifted for $4 Minnetonkas. [...]
I’m usually by myself when I’m vagabonding .. except for that time I was in Italy with Gina and the recent times I’ve been vagabonding with Adam. She took a few pictures of me there–one of which is for sale as a pretty print. This image was photographed in Flagstaff unbeknownst to me and I [...]
I shared a little bit about why it’s important for me to go on little photographic adventures here. The second purpose for doing this–taking a camera anywhere and exploring with it–is that it sharpens my skills. Blog design has become a huge part of my life these days (way more than I ever intended it [...]
One of my favorite things to do when I’m not photographing clients or working on blog designs is going on a short drive (or not a drive at all–just a walk across the driveway, sometimes) and exploring a Place with my camera (or hey, let’s be real here, my cellphone). I love findings. And treasures. [...]
Last month, I began researching a fun hike in Sedona (slightly over an hour away from where I’m currently living in Williams, AZ) using Cosmic Ray’s Favorite Hikes Flagstaff & Sedona, which is pretty amazing as you can see! I just might love this hiking guide as much as I loved hiking in such a stunning [...]
This past year, I traveled from Norway to Oregon to visit my family and photograph a wedding–not realizing I’d intend to stay in the states. Then, I traveled to North Carolina for the holidays (the whole of them) and fell in like with a wonderful man. So, then we both moved to Northern Arizona–I live [...]
Many images photographed in the Double Ds Coffee bus — if you want to visit, see this map. I thoroughly enjoyed my chili pepper mocha. Mmm. The rest of the images photographed closeby in downtown Asheville during an introduction and visit with Adam’s beautiful friends.
I’ve recently taken up the practice of taking full weekends off. It restores me–especially when I find little treasures like this on the side of a back road. I am grateful for my weekend wanderings and for the friends and loved ones that choose to share the journey with me. Between Williams, AZ and Flagstaff, [...]
Williams, Arizona to Jerome, Arizona. More images from this set: Part I & Part II of this northern Arizona adventure. Adam and I went on a little late afternoon Arizona back-road trip on Perkinsville Road from around Williams to Jerome, AZ. It truly feels so refreshing to get out and explore (especially with a new sidekick)–to [...]
If you’re still following along after this lengthy hiatus from blog posting here on Blog, Wreckless, here’s a little photographic story about Greensboro, NC — all photographs shot during a little photographic exploration downtown with extremely talented photographer & explorer Adam Collins. Many more images on Vagabondbond .. and more to come soon. Happy 2012. [...]
Hello again! I’m returning to the states tomorrow through Sept 8, officially (possibly longer, we’ll see, or I’ll return in Oct/Nov.) to shoot this couple’s wonderful wedding! If you’re on the west coast (Seattle down to Cali), I’ll be available for a month for photoshoots & mentoring. Just shoot me an email. To make a [...]

I was born in a valley in Southern Oregon and became instantly dependent on the infinite surrounding mountains as a source of inspiration. I am a photographer based in the heart of Oregon -- Bend, Oregon.
I photograph weddings and portrait sessions all over the world. Though, I frequently visit and photograph in the Pacific Northwest, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego & Santa Barbara Counties, Northern Arizona, and Colorado. I have the heart of a vagabond and the wildest, vivid imagination. If you trust me with creating your images, you won't regret it.
We'll make magic. I promise.
